SD tables in SAP

Here in this article, we will be focusing on the important tables which are used in the sales and distribution of SAP. So this article can also be used for referencing to write data analysis of FS. Mainly there are twelve places where you will find tables. They are in the sales document, logical database, shipping, delivery document, customer master, billing document, bill of material, material master, logical database for the material master, pricing, output and text.

In the sales document there are about seventeen tables some of them are VBAK which contains header data, VBPA which is on partners and VBAKUK consisting of status and header data. In logical database AKV describing the sales documents exists. Delivery document contains two tables called LIKP and LIPS containing the header data and item data respectively. In shipping you’ll be able to find tables like VTTP on shipment items, VTSP on the stage in transport for each of shipment items and VTPA describing the shipment partners. In the billing document there are 2 tables called VBRK and VBRP describing header and item data respectively.

Customer master contains tables called KNAP, KNBI and KNB4 containing the general data and company code data and customer payment history respectively. In material master you’ll be able to find tables like MARA on the general master data, MVKE on the sales data for materials and MARC describing the plant data for material.

Bill of material contains tables like MAST, EQST and KDST containing the material assignment, equipment assignment and sales order assignment respectively. In logical database for material master you’ll be able to find tables like CKM on material master and MSM.

Pricing contains tables like KOMK, KOMP and KONV containing the header, item and conditions respectively. In output you’ll be able to find a table called NAST which is on message status.

Text contains two tables called STXH and STXL containing the header and line respectively. Other tables like JSTO describing the PP status and SADR describing the address can also be found.

The sales and distribution module in SAP helps immensely in managing sales and the distributing data and processes to customers. This also supports efficient process work by working with the SAP SD modules closely.

This module belongs to the logistics area. It is included with the processes which are supporting businesses or companies to deal with their customers. Some of the processes include receive orders through the telephone, internet or EDI, giving quotations to the users, shipping and also billing goods to the consumers when they receive products.

This particular module covers path of a business starting from the initialization and up to the fulfillment of orders. The processes included in the life cycle of an order are connected or linked within the SD module as well as external to it. For an example, material management and financial accounting can be taken into consideration.
